Sound Editing :
- Added Music
We utilised a technique that included adding sound effects and background music to our project. In doing so, the audio components of the YouTube link were converted into MP3 files, which significantly enhanced certain scenarios to increase their impact on the production.
- Faded Audio
Another strategy we used was to slowly decrease the level of some audio recordings. This was done to highlight the smooth changes in music or between scenes, minimising any unappealing gaps.
- Added sound from sound effects board
Using this technique, sounds from the sound effects board are added. These noises are converted to MP3 files, which are then loaded into Final Cut Pro and used as the background for specific scenes. For instance, we used a song to add humour and originality that is representative of Turkish culture to a scenario in the video during specific scenes
Text Editing:
Adding the production Title was an important role to the 'Black Candle Role,
The process includes using Final Cut Pro's font option. We decided on a text design that has flickering and fading in between each character. This decision tries to give the viewer a spooky, unsettling feeling.
We added a green screen video of the orb, which was a major deception. We positioned the green screen above the main characters and changed its original colour to match the "Black Candles" colour scheme because of its vital significance in developing the plot.
Video Editing:
- Settings / Lightning
One of the techniques we used was to apply a filter effect to some sequences, especially in the last parts of the video. The purpose of this decision is to give the audience a sense of tension.
